NONA Vegan Launches Crowdfunding Campaign to Expand Italian Cream and Meat Sauces

Canadian sauce maker NONA Vegan Foods announces a new $300,000 crowdfunding campaign through FrontFundr, Canada’s leading equity crowdfunding platform. The company, which sells Italian plant-based cream and meat sauces, plans to use the funding to expand its market presence in Canada and the US.  In addition to the fundraising campaign, NONA recently won the Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA) and Wells Fargo pitch competition. Beyond Meat Launches New Beyond Dumplings for the Chinese Market

Beyond Meat has increased its range of products aimed at the Chinese market with a new selection of Beyond Dumplings, available in both boiled and fried varieties. The boiled dumplings are wrapped in a skin made from Inner Mongolian Hetao flour, with a chewiness that emulates handmade dumplings from northern China. They come in two flavours — Beyond Beef, Celery, and Wood Ear Mushroom and Beyond Pork, Shepherd’s Purse, and Nanohana. Encased in crispy gyozas, the fried dumplings can be eaten either as a snack or at mealtimes. Beyond Meat and American Cancer Society to Advance Research on Plant-Based Meat and Cancer Prevention

Beyond Meat and the American Cancer Society (ACS) announce a multi-year agreement to advance research on the link between plant-based meat and cancer prevention. The first-of-its-kind commitment aims to increase the understanding of how plant-based meats contribute to healthy diet patterns, and their potential role in cancer prevention. Beyond Meat CEO Predicts Category “Shakeout” as Company Reports Widened Q3 Losses

On Nov. 9, Beyond Meat reported its 2022 third-quarter earnings, and results showed wider-than-expected losses and decreased revenue as the company continues to battle the pressures of inflation. Despite lowered forecasts, Beyond’s stock soared 20% during Thursday’s market trading. According to CEO Ethan Brown, inflation has taken a heavy toll on sales of the company’s plant-based burgers, sausages and chicken, with price-weary consumers opting for cheaper proteins. During its Wednesday earnings call, the company said total pounds sold fell 12.8%, while net revenue per pound decreased by 11.2%. Beyond Meat (NASDAQ: BYND) announces the addition of Beyond Nuggets and Popcorn Chicken to its plant-based chicken portfolio. Beyond Meat has announced the launch of its plant-based Beyond Steak, described as “revolutionary”, across the US. Beyond Meat Appoints New CFO, Makes Top Leadership Changes

Beyond Meat (NASDAQ: BYND) is making significant changes to its leadership following the departure of Chief Operating Officer Douglas Ramsey on Oct. 14th, according to the company’s 8-K investor documents. Beyond is also appointing Lubi Kutua as its new Chief Financial Officer and shifting top personnel in other roles including principal accounting officer and SVP of operations.  Ramsey, who was suspended from Beyond on Sept. 20th following an altercation at a college football game, formally resigned from the company on Oct. 14th, according to documents.  In addition, current CFO and treasurer Phillip E. Beyond Meat Prepares to Launch Plant-Based Ready Meals in the UK

Beyond Meat has applied to register the trademark “Beyond Meals” with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office, indicating that it may be preparing to launch plant-based ready meals in the country. The brand is seeking two types of trademark — a Class 30, for ready meals with ingredients such as pasta, rice, and noodles, and a Class 29, for meat alternatives. Today, Taco Bell USA reveals the results of its long-anticipated collaboration with Beyond Meat with the Beyond Carne Asada Steak.
