Plant Power Fast Food Partners with Alpha Foods for More Affordable Vegan Burgers

Plant Power Fast Food, a leading vegan fast food chain, announces new lower-priced menu items as it works to achieve price parity with traditional fast food brands. To create the menu, the chain worked with plant-based brand Alpha Foods to make new pea protein burgers and cheeseburgers priced at $4.95 and $5.95, respectively.  Removing barriers “One of the core criticisms of plant-based food is that it is expensive, our goal is to remove that barrier and make plant-based fast food an easy choice,” states Plant Power co-founder and COO Zach Vouga. Canadian Starts a Change.org Petition for Public to Thank Burger King on Behalf of the World’s Vegans

Following the news that Burger King has received a class-action lawsuit for committing “false and misleading business practices” with its plant-based burgers, vegconomist has been contacted by Canadian citizen who has launched a petition to do the exact opposite and invite the public to collectively applaud Burger King “on behalf of the undersigned vegans and vegetarians of the world.” The petitioner, David Ray from Vancouver, Canada, says he has shared the petition with Impossible Foods, the Good Food Institute and the Washington Post. Burger King Sued for Serving “Contaminated” Impossible Burgers to Vegans

According to an article published this week by The New York Times, the plaintiff, Phillip Williams, filed a class-action lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Burger King. He accused the fast-food chain of committing “false and misleading business practices” in the marketing and sale of its plant-based burgers.

Impossibly Vegan: Burger King’s Plantbased Whopper is Cooked With Meat

The Burger King /Impossible Food collaboration, the Impossible Whopper, was rolled out nationwide across the US this week. The patty is described in BK publicity as “100% Whopper, 0% Beef” – however, the BK’s website small print mentions it is “flame-grilled in the same broiler used for beef and chicken.”

Vegan Impossible Whopper Available at all US Burger Kings Next Week

The Impossible Whopper will be available at nationwide Burger Kings from 8th August. A report by inMarket inSights found that the BK locations which offered the vegan burger outperformed other locations in terms of foot traffic by 18.5%. When Burger King introduced the Impossible Whopper to its test market in St. Louis, USA, the trial was so successful that it  was decided to roll out the product nationally after just one month, and the vegan burger will now be available nationwide from the 8th of this month. Impossible Whopper Arrives in California, Burger King Delivers Meat Whopper to Vegans in Brooklyn

Burger King will introduce its vegan version of its Whopper burger, the Impossible Whopper, this Monday to 100 locations around San Francisco. Meanwhile, in Brooklyn, the fast food chain has reportedly been sending out Seamless deliveries of regular meat Whoppers, when customers had in fact ordered the vegan version.

Burger King’s Impossible Whopper a Huge Success, Will be Rolled Out Nationwide

Burger King’s test of a vegan version of the Whopper has been such a success that the burger chain is going to introduce it to menus across the USA this year. The trial, which took place from 1st April in St Louis USA, used the Impossible patty and was marketed as the Impossible Whopper.
