Tomato-Based Sushi Ahimi Now Available at DOT Foods

Ocean Hugger Foods, producer of sustainable, plant-based alternatives to sea food proteins, announce that their flagship product Ahimi – the world’s first plant-based alternative to raw tuna, made from tomatoes – has launched in DOT Foods, America’s largest food redistributor.

Ocean Hugger Foods provide sustainable plant-based alternatives created by one of America’s top chefs, Certified Master Chef James Corwell. Ahimi, their “raw tuna” made from fresh tomatoes, non-GMO soy sauce, filtered water, sugar and sesame oil, was first launched in Whole Foods at the end of 2016 and has since received critical acclaim from the Wall Street Journal, CBS Saturday Morning, and Inc. among others. Demand for Ahimi has continued to grow as consumers shift to plant-based alternatives for reasons of health, sustainability, and animal welfare.

Availability through DOT gives Ocean Hugger Foods a national distribution network and allows restaurants across the US to order Ahimi with ease. DOT currently has nine distribution centres serving all 50 American states.
