Beyond Meat Launches Beyond Pork Sauces in China Where “Rising Trend” in Plant-Based Continues

Plant-based meat leader Beyond Meat has announced the launch of its first vegan meat sauce collection. Created specifically for the Chinese market, the meat sauce range is launching with two flavors; Classic Bolognese and Savory Black Pepper, both using Beyond Pork.  Ideal for use in a range of dishes, the new plant-based meat sauces are aimed at China’s growing flexitarian market and towards providing a healthier option in the convenience food segment. With around 103 kcal per 100g, Beyond Meat claims each serving of the sauce offers a calorie level equivalent to that of an apple. China: Beyond Meat Launches Plant-Based Lunch Boxes Into 2,300 Lawson Stores 

Plant-based meat leader Beyond Meat continues its expansion in China following a new partnership with Chinese convenience store Lawson. The partnership includes two plant-based lunch boxes which will be rolled out into more than 2,300 Lawson stores across the country today.  One of the new plant-based lunch boxes includes Beyond Pork, the company’s first plant-based meat created specifically for the Chinese market, which Beyond claims has half the amount of fat compared to conventional pork. Beyond Meat’s Cutting Edge Facility is Unveiled in Shanghai to Serve China’s Growing Plant-Based Market

Following the announcement last September that Beyond Meat was to open a production facility in China, marking its first manufacturing facility outside the US, Beyond today announces the unveiling of the new facility in the Jiaxing Economic & Technological Development Zone (JXEDZ) near Shanghai, making it the only multinational company focused solely on plant-based meat production to open its own production facility in China.
