Impossible Foods Unveils New Spicy Plant-Based Chicken Nuggets & More Innovations for the Frozen Aisle

Today, California-based Impossible Foods announces the expansion of its best-selling portfolio with three new additions: Impossible™ Spicy Chicken Nuggets, Impossible™ Spicy Chicken Patties, and Impossible™ Chicken Tenders. Impossible’s new plant-based chicken flavors and the new chicken format will be available in the frozen aisle at select retail locations starting this month, followed by national availability in the coming months. Beyond Meat Launches Plant-Based Chicken Range at Dutch Supermarkets

Beyond Meat has launched three plant-based chicken products — the Beyond Burger Chicken-Style, Beyond Schnitzel, and Beyond Tenders — in the Netherlands. The burger and schnitzel are new products, with the schnitzel specifically aimed at the European market. All three options are breadcrumb-coated and can be prepared in a frying pan, air fryer, or oven. The chicken alternatives will be available from this week at selected locations of the supermarket chains Jumbo and Albert Heijn, which recently pledged to be majority plant-based by 2030. Rebellyous Foods Raises $9.5M for Plant-Based Chicken’s “Next-Gen Meat Machine”

Rebellyous Foods, the Seattle startup working to make plant-based chicken affordable, has announced a $9.5 million equity round to build its novel production technology. Founded in late 2017 by former aerospace engineer Christie Lagally, Rebellyous focuses on making plant-based meat better, faster, and cheaper through tech-backed solutions. “Next-gen meat machine” “During a tough economic slump, we are thrilled by this testament to investors’ belief in Rebellyous and price parity as a solution to sustained growth of plant-based meat in the marketplace,” said Lagally, who is also the company’s CEO.
