The Coconut Collab Raises £1.5M in Series B Funding After Seeing 15% YOY Growth

The Coconut Collab, a UK producer of coconut-based dairy alternatives, has raised £1.5 million in its Series B funding round. The funding comes from existing shareholders, including US-based Ground Force Capital (formerly PowerPlant Ventures). This investment management firm previously funded The Coconut Collab’s $7 million Series A round, which was used to help the company expand within the UK and internationally. The new capital will be used to help The Coconut Collab transition from startup to scaling phase, accelerating growth and establishing a more mainstream presence throughout the UK and Europe. Koko Redesigns Plant-Based Milks and Yogurts to “Rival Dairy Equivalents”

Koko, a UK brand of coconut-based dairy alternatives, has redesigned its milks and yogurts to make them more similar to dairy. The product ranges have been renamed to M!LK and YOGRT!, and feature new packaging intended to “disrupt the market with dairy-like messaging”. Recipes have also been updated to rival their dairy equivalents, providing more protein along with less fat and sugar. Portuguese Supermarket Continente Expands Vegan Range With Dairy-Free Yogurts

Portuguese supermarket chain Continente has expanded its Powered by Plants brand with a selection of vegan yogurts. Called Vegegurtes, the range contains both almond and coconut-based options. The almond yogurts are available in the varieties Natural, Red Fruits, and Peach Passionfruit, while the coconut yogurts come in the flavours Natural, Strawberry, and Mango Passion Fruit. The range is made in Portugal and available at Continente stores across the country. The yogurts are all fortified with calcium, vitamin B12, and vitamin D, and have been certified vegan by the internationally recognised V-Label.
