Kallø Enters New Category With Organic & Clean-Label Veggie Dips

UK-based healthy snack brand Kallø has entered the dips category for the first time with a new range of plant-based Veggie Dips. The clean-label dips consist of a tomato base combined with organic vegetables and pulses. Three varieties are available — Chutney Tomato & Lentil, Tomato & Olives, and Spicy Tomato. Unlike many dips, the products are sold in an ambient format and packaged in a fully recyclable glass jar with an aluminium lid. The resealable format means they can be easily transported and helps to reduce food waste. The dips are said to be an ideal pairing for snacks such as Kallø’s Veggie Thins, a range of chickpea-based flatbreads that launched last November. Welsh Brand Do Goodly Secures Tesco Listing for Plant-Based Meal Pots

Do Goodly, a plant-based dip brand based in Wales, has secured listings for four of its products at Tesco supermarkets across the UK. The launch includes three meal pots — Chip Shop Curry, Mushroom Carbonara, and Mac and Greens — along with a Chip Shop Curry Sauce. The meal pots count as one of the five recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables, and contain no added sugar. They are also low in fat and provide a source of protein. This is not Do Goodly’s first partnership with Tesco — the retailer began stocking three of the brand’s dips (Nacho Cheeze, Smashed Pea Guacamole, and Mighty Beetroot Borani) at 50 Welsh stores last year. Hodo Plant-Based Chili Crisp Dip Comes Out on Top at Expo West

In February, Californian plant-based food brand Hodo launched a new range of creamy soy-based dips, featuring three flavors — Chili Crisp, Sambal Sweet Chili, and Zesty Lemon. Hodo recently attended Expo West, where it asked booth visitors to sample each dip and choose their favorite. Chili Crisp came out on top, and was praised for its taste, versatility, and spiciness.
