After four days of intensive discussions and presentations of new products, ISM 2022, including the projection of the last day of the fair, ended last week with around 15,000 trade visitors from 96 countries. Our editorial team was also out and about at the popular confectionery fair and was consistently positively surprised by the high number of vegan product exhibitors who presented their latest sweet innovations.

Under this year’s key theme “Transform,” Anuga 2021 will focus on the future of the international food industry and the development of a more sustainable and efficient global food system. Plant-based or purely plant-based products and other alternative protein products play an important role here. The many national and, above all, international exhibitors from these sectors are already extremely satisfied with the course of the trade fair so far and are enthusiastic about the great interest shown by buyers and investors at Anuga.
The third day of the world’s leading trade fair for the food and beverage industry is over and Anuga is already drawing to a close. But there is still time to explore, inform and network, and there is still more than enough to explore in the plant-based sector. Our vegconomist team on-site also continues to be excited and fascinated by the wealth of vegan innovations presented by both national and international exhibitors.
Day 2 at Anuga: This year, in addition to the numerous exhibitors of vegan products, the trade fair also holds a comprehensive supporting program for the alternative protein industry. A highlight of the show on the second day was the launch of the New Food Conference organized by ProVeg, which this year focuses on cellular agriculture.
