Belse Plant Cuisine Opens NYC’s Largest Vegan Restaurant and Brewery

Belse Plant Cuisine recently opened an 11,000 sq. ft. restaurant, bar and brewery in Manhattan, making it the largest fully plant-based restaurant in NYC. Boasting 200 seats, the upscale restaurant has already attracted high-profile guests such Mayor Eric Adams, television host Gayle King, and Senator Corey Booker. Located on Bowery Street, the sprawling establishment features two levels and a private vegan brewery, which Belse says is the only 3-vessel German brewhouse in Manhattan. Launched by the team behind LA’s celebrated Little Pine restaurant, Belse’s menu is crafted by chef Anthony Spino and offers a seasonal selection of plant-based pizza, pasta, burgers and vegetable entrees. NYC’s Eleven Madison Park Unveils Eleven Madison Home Plant-Based Meal Delivery

Eleven Madison Park, NYC’s premier fine dining restaurant, introduces Eleven Madison Home  – a weekly meal subscription service designed to encourage more plant-based eating. Chef and owner David Humm announced the new service, which currently only delivers to the Manhattan area, one year after the restaurant famously converted to a 100% plant-based menu. Eleven Madison Home offers fully prepared, ready-to-heat items on a weekly changing menu. France’s ONA Awarded First Ever Michelin Star for a Vegan Only Restaurant

A French restaurant has been awarded a coveted Michelin star, the first of its kind for an establishment serving only plant-based food. ONA, in the south-west town of Arès in France, was launched via a crowdfunding campaign just four years ago. UPDATE: The first vegan restaurant with a star is Seven Swans in Frankfurt, as Seven Swans told us: “We, the SEVEN SWANS, have been consistently vegan for several years. In 2019 and 2020, we were awarded a star by the Guide Michelin, as well as the Sustainability Award. Thus, we are pleased to be the first vegan starred restaurant in the world. Chef Ricky Saward focuses on consistent, radical, regional, all-plant products, mostly homegrown.” The Guide Michelin judges: A MICHELIN star: a cuisine full of finesse – worth a stop!
