THIS Celebrates Veganuary With New Plant-Based Chicken Breasts and Frozen Mince

UK alt meat brand THIS is celebrating Veganuary with the launch of two new retail products — THIS Isn’t Chicken Breast and frozen THIS Isn’t Beef Mince. Made from soy and pea protein, the plant-based chicken breasts can be oven-cooked or pan-fried. They are now available at Tesco. The frozen mince is a reformulated version of THIS’ popular chilled mince, and is made from soy protein. It joins the brand’s existing frozen range, which features plant-based chicken pieces, tenders, and pork sausages. The mince, which is high in protein and low in saturated fat, is now available at Morrisons. VFC Launches Fakeaway Ready Meals and “Market First” Chick*n Sausages

Vegan food activist leader VFC is celebrating Veganuary with the launch of several new products in the UK, including a range of fakeaway ready meals, plant-based chicken sausages that are claimed to be a market first, and a chilled version of the brand’s chicken-style mince. The frozen ready meals debut with two products — Chick*n Fried Rice and Chick*n Curry. The single-serving bags can be pan-fried in eight minutes, and aim to offer a healthier, meat-free version of takeaway favourites. Seafood Company Ha Li Fa Launches Eat Plant Love Brand With Asian Style Fishless Products

Best known for its seafood brand Bobo; Ha Li Fa, a Singapore manufacturer specialising in fish balls for over 30 years, expanded into the plant-based seafood market with the launch of a new 100% plant brand called Eat Plant Love (EPL) in Singapore last year.  ELP offers a fishless alternative to traditional Asian dishes, such as fish balls, fish cakes, and fish rolls. The company’s R&D team took two years to develop a 100% plant-based version of its best-selling seafood products, prioritising the taste and texture preferences of Asian consumers to create its Asian-style offer.
