Plant Based World Offered a Glimpse of How Plant-Based Eating is Becoming Ever More Sophisticated

Alice Grahame, a London-based freelance journalist, Guardian contributor, and ex BBC journalist, here talks about her experience of the recent Plant-Based World Europe Expo, which was Europe’s first plant-based-only trade show, and some of the innovations unveiled at the event. So What Happened at the Plant-Based Expo in London?

The Plant-Based World Europe Expo, which took place last week in London, was the first in-person trade event for so many exhibitors and attendees, after the global situation. Thousands of participants took place in what was Europe’s first plant-based-only trade show, at London’s Business Design Centre in Islington. More than a hundred brands took place, from household names to innovative startups, including Beyond Meat, Heck, Quorn, VFC, OmniFoods, Planterra, La Vie, Better Nature, RIP Foods, Love Seitan, Sheese, VBites, Flax & Kale, Fable Foods, The Tofoo Company, Heura Foods, One Planet Pizza, Thai Union, Future Farm, THIS, Clive’s Pies, Umiami, Willicroft, and DOPSU, to name just a handful.
