Swedish alt-dairy startup Noquo Foods has announced it will soon be launching its first product after two years of research and development. As the launch approaches, the company has decided to rebrand as Stockeld Dreamery.
Stockeld Dreamery Launches Spread to “Replace Dairy Cream Cheese”
Swedish alt-dairy brand Stockeld Dreamery has developed Stockeld Spread, a cream cheese alternative made from fermented chickpeas and lentils. The launch follows over two years of product development. Stockeld has faced some challenges along the way — at one point, one of the key ingredients in the spread was not approved by the EU. At first, it seemed as though the product development had hit a dead end, but the company found an alternative pathway and was ready to launch the cheese a few months later. “The best cream cheese I’ve ever tasted” Stockeld had started out with the ambitious goal of making a product that would convince foodservice outlets to switch away from conventional cream cheese.
