India’s Sudo Foods Raises Seed Funding From Prominent Lineup of Investors

 Just a few weeks after its launch, India’s Sudo Foods has completed a successful seed round. The startup raised funding from Java Capital and Betaplus Capital, along with angel investors Ravi Saxena, Deep Bajaj, and Ajay Garg. Sudo is an alt-meat brand founded by former investment bankers Abhinav Chawla and Sadhika Agarwal. The startup says it will significantly expand its team following the funding round, hiring experts in foodtech, food safety, culinary applications, and more. Currently, Sudo has four products on the market — plant-based chicken samosas, chicken seekh kebabs, chicken popcorn, and mutton galouti kebabs. Former Indian Investment Bankers Launch Alt-Meat Brand Sudo Foods

Two former investment bankers, Abhinav Chawla and Sadhika Agarwal, have launched a new alt-meat brand called Sudo Foods in Bengaluru, India. Chawla and Agarwal decided to start the business after giving up meat due to environmental concerns. The brand’s first products are plant-based chicken samosas, chicken seekh kebabs, chicken popcorn, and mutton galouti kebabs.
