Canadian Vegan Restaurant Chain Copper Branch Arrives in Australia

Canadian vegan restaurant chain Copper Branch announces its arrival in Australia with the opening of the first store, in Melbourne, by the end of January. This new location marks the company’s first step towards its announced expansion plans in Australia and New Zealand. In 2021, Copper Branch was acquired by the Quebec-based franchisor of multiple restaurant concepts, Foodtastic, set to open more than 40 locations of what CB claims to be the “largest plant-based restaurant chain in the world,” (though this title may belong to Asian buffet chain Loving Hut). Next Level Clucker: New Vegan Chicken Chain Plans 1,000 Outlets in 10 Years

Next Level Burger recently opened the first location of its new vegan chicken chain called Next Level Clucker (NLC) in San Francisco with delivery and pickup service. Founder Matthew de Gruyter has aggressive expansion plans, intending to grow from one to 1,000 restaurants in the first ten years.

By CHLOE Files for Bankruptcy in a Move “Necessary to Emerge and Thrive Long Term”

By CHLOE, the vegan restaurant chain owned by BC Hospitality Group, filed for bankruptcy with plans to sell itself by mid-February of 2021. The business cites the pandemic and the resulting loss of customers as the reason, stating that a “complete reorganization of the company is necessary for by CHLOE to emerge and thrive long-term”.
