Independent British brand, Moving Mountains, who created the UK’s first plant-based bleeding burger in the B12 Burger, has announced a $12 million distributor deal with Rastelli Foods, to supply their famous product to hotels and restaurants in the Middle East.
Moving Mountains is an independent British business, whose name is a metaphor for the brand’s goal of living in harmony on a sustainable planet, as well as a daily affirmation in the form of cruelty-free, plantbased food and human health. Driven by a long-standing passion to make a positive difference to the planet, Moving Mountains Founder, British entrepreneur Simeon Van der Molen, launched Moving Mountains just one year ago with a mission to bring real, radical change to people’s everyday diet by giving a plant-based alternative that is genuinely competitive in taste, texture and satisfaction to animal meat products. Since their launch, Moving Mountains has grown to supply 1500 locations across the UK and are expanding across Europe and the World at a rapid rate
Rastelli Foods, industry leaders in supplying the finest hotels, restaurants, institutions and retail markets since 1976, announced yesterday the new partnership, which is worth $12 million over 3 years. The deal is great news for the future of eating well for health and for the planet, Moving Mountains’ plantbased meat requires less land, less water and produces less greenhouse emissions than animal meat, and is said to look, smell and taste just like animal meat products.
Moving Mountains founder Van der Molen said of the deal, “We’re so pleased to be expanding outside of Great Britain and launching the UK’s first ever plant-based meat burger into the Middle East. This marks a huge leap in innovation for humanity and will allow consumers to bite into a future of food technology that is better for their health and the health of our planet.”
