The 2025 edition of F4F – Expo Foodtech and Pick&Pack will be held from May 13 to 15 in Bilbao, Spain, bringing together industry professionals from the food and beverage sector. The event will focus on addressing the latest technological advancements in food production, logistics, and packaging.
More than 250 exhibiting companies and 320 international experts are set to showcase and discuss solutions aimed at improving productivity, sustainability, and efficiency in food production and distribution.
The event will feature innovations in automation, robotics, and digitalization. Key topics will include the impact of artificial intelligence on production systems, intelligent processing, quality control, and energy efficiency within production facilities. Additionally, solutions for reducing food waste and enhancing product safety will be discussed. The focus on decarbonization tools and energy-saving strategies is expected to address the sector’s ongoing efforts to reduce its environmental footprint.

Addressing sector challenges
In addition to the exhibition, the Food 4 Future World Summit will bring together industry leaders to explore the current challenges facing the sector. Among these are rising production costs, inflation, and changes in consumer behavior, as well as the geopolitical and economic factors influencing food manufacturing.
The summit will feature forums dedicated to specific food industry segments, including horticulture, beverages, and new ingredients. Separate sessions will also cater to professionals from different roles within the industry, including plant managers, R&D experts, and purchasing managers.
A focus will also be placed on the latest trends in food packaging and logistics. The Packaging and Logistics 4.0 Congress will cover innovations in sustainable packaging materials and advancements in robotics, AI, and vision technology applied to food logistics. These developments aim to improve traceability, reduce operational costs, and optimize supply chains.

Foodtech Startup Forum
The Foodtech Startup Forum will also present over 200 startups showcasing cutting-edge innovations. These startups will present their projects to investors and leading companies in the sector, offering solutions in areas such as AI, blockchain, biotechnology, IoT, and food safety. Startups have until April 1, 2025 to apply.
Startups chosen to participate in the forum will be selected based on their innovations in fields including automation, food processing, energy, and logistics. These selected companies will have the opportunity to meet with venture funds, industry leaders, and technology clusters. They will also be in line for the Foodtech Innovation Awards 2025.
