Oato, the UK brand known for its fresh oat m*lk products, this week announces a new limited edition flavour — Caffè Latte by Oato — created exclusively for Modern Milkman, a delivery service that revives the traditional milk round for modern-day consumers.
Caffè Latte by Oato blends the classic Oato oat milk, made from 100% British oats and filtered water, with coffee and tones of vanilla and caramel, and is the latest addition to the range that includes Barista Whole, Chocoloato, and Strawberry Oat. The Latte drink is produced in small batches at the Oato Lancashire farm.
Starting life with sole availability in milk rounds, Oato first landed on retail shelves this February with a regional listing at Booths, and a few months later gained nationwide distribution through Waitrose.
Founder and MD Carl Hopwood explained to vegconomist last month: “It’s an exciting time for plant-based milk creators, and staying ahead of the curve will always be our priority to be first to market”. This latest NPD represents Oato’s latest efforts to stay ahead of said curve, bringing the oat milk format to vegans, flexitarians, and ” dairy drinkers who enjoy our oat milk. We are an inclusive brand that aims to be accessible to all.”
A unique offering

Carl Hopwood adds, “At Oato, we are constantly developing new flavours with our classic fresh Oato. Since our inception in 2019, we have been complimented on our taste alongside coffee. We wanted a ready-to-drink oat latte available for our long-standing customers on the British milk round Modern Milkman.”
Caffè Latte by Oato is available exclusively through Modern Milkman. Pre-orders are now open, with deliveries starting on the 9th of August.
