The “Famous Order” menu, long established in the United States, is now being introduced at McDonald’s Germany. The internationally known musicians, twins Bill (husband of Heidi Klum) and Tom Kaulitz of the rock band Tokio Hotel, are crafting unique McPlant menus for this rollout. The McPlant burger patty and McPlant nuggets are produced by Beyond Meat, and currently are not available in the USA, as far as we understand.
From today May 8, Bill and Tom Kaulitz will feature their personalized menus at McDonald’s Germany. They join the ranks of global icons such as Travis Scott, Mariah Carey, and BTS, who have previously curated their own “Famous Order” selections in the USA. The twins have curated the menus, including their distinct burger variations.
Bill’s signature choice includes the McPlant® Mango Chilli paired with curly fries and a vanilla milkshake, into which he enjoys dipping his fries. Meanwhile, Tom prefers the McPlant Tomato Chargrill accompanied by six McPlant Nuggets, sweet and sour sauce, and a large Coca-Cola.
“The Famous Order menus are a huge success in the USA and we are delighted to have secured Bill and Tom for our first campaign of this kind in Germany, stars who are just as iconic in this country as our brand. Just like us, they have remained relevant in the young target group for many years – which is why this collaboration is the perfect match for us,” says Tomasz Debowski, Chief Marketing Officer at McDonald’s Germany.
Bill and Tom Kaulitz comment: “Like most people, McDonald’s has been with us all our lives. So it was a childhood dream come true for us when McDonald’s asked us if we wanted to create our own menus and burgers. We both want to give up meat more and more often ourselves, so we wanted to create menus that offer a really great alternative while delivering the unique Mecces flavour.”
