Four Vegan Companies in Venezuela Making Alternatives to Favorite Foods

We take a look at four vegan companies in Venezuela making alternatives to dairy, meat, and chocolate while attempting to stay afloat amidst Venezuela’s economic crisis and rampant inflation.  Venezuela was among the 11 countries ahead of France in the Veganuary 2022 challenge; according to estimates from the Venezuelan Association of Nutritionists, the vegan population in Venezuela is growing.  Okara Dairy-free artisanal cheese specialist Okara began crafting chickpea-based cheese in 2019 when it was founded by Mirla Morales and Jennifer Schneider. A Hundred French Companies Are Already Mobilised to Promote Veganuary 2023

At time of writing, around a hundred companies have committed to participate in Veganuary 2023 in France. An impressive increase; in 2022 there were 85 in 2022 and in 2021 there were only 30. For the third consecutive year, the French animal rights organization L214, which has been defending animals used as food resources since 2008, is supporting the French edition of Veganuary. Last week, the association organised the official launch of the 2023 edition of this challenge, in the presence of numerous participating companies such as Monoprix, Planet Sushi, Eatic, TyK Affinage, Heura, Jay&Joy and many others. Sprüngli Launches Vegan Praline Chocolates with Cocoa Fruit Juice

Swiss chocolatier Sprüngli presents new vegan pralines in the form of bâtons made from three Grand Cru fine chocolate combined with fresh cocoa fruit juice. Two years ago, the company created the first Swiss Grand Cru chocolate made from 100% cocoa fruit, consisting of two ingredients: fine cocoa beans from Bolivia, and fresh cocoa fruit juice.
