The finalists for the UK’s leading plant-based investment competition, Pitch + Plant have been announced. Pitch + Plant 2019 takes place this Saturday evening on the 13th July at Lush Studio in Soho. It follows on from the Vevolution, Plant Based Business Bootcamp, a daytime leadership event for the plant-based sector which is attracting some of the biggest names in ethical entrepreneurship to speak.
Founded in early 2017, Vevolution is a movement at the heart of the acceleration of the plant based living. They hold regular events including their annual showcase Vevolution Festival and publish articles, podcasts and videos to inspire a plant-powered generation of people creating positive change in the world.
This is the third annual Pitch + Plant since it was created by Vevolution in 2017, previous winners have included UpCircle Beauty, Purezza, One Planet Pizza and FRUU. Out of the almost 50 vegan companies who applied, the seven which have been selected as finalists are:
- Matthew Glover, Chairman, Veganuary
- Damien Clarkson, Co Founder, Vevolution
- Swatee Deepak, Director of With and For Girls at Purposeful
- Jonathan Petrides, Co Founder, allplants
- Grace Regan, Founder, Spicebox
Speaking about the finalists of Pitch + Plant, Vevolution Co-Founder, Damien Clarkson said:
