Popular UK restaurant chain PizzaExpress has been awarded Silver at the annual FreeFrom Eating Out awards for the second year running.
The FreeFrom Eating Out Awards were established in 2013 with a mission not just to raise awareness of ‘freefrom eating’ within food service, but to set a standard of excellence to which freefrom eateries can aspire.
PizzaExpress menus offer a variety of choices to provide something delicious for everyone, including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. The judges of the competition said, ‘PizzaExpress offers good value for money and is a popular restaurant chain with plenty of options. I was confident of their knowledge of the allergens.’
All of the gold, silver and bronze winners appear on the FreeFrom Eating Out Awards map, and the winners were all visited by secret diner-judges all of whom are coeliac or have specific dietary requirements.
