InnovoPro, a leading provider of chickpea protein solutions, has announced the appointment of Gregory Belt as its new CEO. Based in the USA, Belt will spearhead the company’s strategic expansion into the food and beverage market.
Belt has a proven track record and deep expertise in building new ventures and strategic planning for innovation-driven growth. His experience, gained from companies like AB InBev, has allowed him to gain commercial traction, particularly in the dynamic landscape of North America.

With a ‘wealth of experience’ and a fresh perspective, Belt is poised to lead InnovoPro into its next phase of growth and expansion, focusing on clean-label products and natural emulsifiers.
After seven years of leadership as co-founder and first CEO, Taly Nechushtan will transition to the role of Vice Chair and continue to support the company’s business development.

Unique plant-based solution
Founded in 2015, InnovoPro is the first company in the world to develop and launch a 70% protein concentrate from chickpeas. Called CP-Pro 70, the concentrate is high in proteins and unsaturated fatty acids while not listed as an allergen.
Due to its subtle taste, binding, and emulsifying functionalities, it is suitable for replacing animal proteins in dairy and egg-free products, plant-based meat, and sports beverages.
In 2022, Ingredion Inc., the US food tech leader, took an equity stake in the company and became InnovoPro’s distributor in the US and Canada after signing an exclusive partnership.
At Fi Europe 2023, InnovoPro introduced its latest innovations for the coffee shop experience: plant-based chocolate truffles (with 12 g of protein), egg-free brownies, and a barista drink specially formulated for stability in low-pH beverages.
