Katjes Vegan Candies Enjoying Sweet Success in USA

Last year, Katjes – the largest plant-based gummies brand in Europe – launched its vegan candies in the US for the first time after enjoying huge popularity in the its home country of Germany. This success was soon replicated in the US, and the sweets are now listed at Walgreens stores nationwide, as reported by Confectionery News. The brand also has a DTC store, and is set to launch at more retailers throughout 2022. Three Katjes products are currently available in the US. The first, Sour, features fairy, heart, and unicorn shapes with a sour taste. The second, Rainbow, consists of multicoloured sweets and is said to be a celebration of diversity. Katjes: First Veggie, Now Climate Neutral

After “100 % veggie” fruit gum and liquorice and the first vegan chocolate based on oat drink “Chocjes”, German brand Katjes is now going one step further in terms of sustainability. In 2020, the confectionery producer wants to operate its production sites in a climate-neutral manner – by promoting certified climate protection projects.

Pink-Floyd’s The Wall Artist Designs TV Ad For Vegan Chocolate

The legendary English illustrator Gerald Scarfe, world-famous for the Pink-Floyd cover of The Wall, has created a TV spot for vegan sweets brand Katjes, to promote Chocjes – the first vegan chocolate made completely with oat milk. According to the advertising agency responsible for the campaign, the issue is something close to Scarfe’s heart.
