Kraft Heinz Debuts JELL-O Oat Milk Chocolate Pudding, Its First Plant-Based Dessert Offering

Kraft Heinz has introduced its first plant-based dessert, JELL-O Oat Milk Chocolate Pudding, marking the brand’s entry into the plant-based food sector. This new product, which is lactose-free, vegan, and made with oat milk, is now available in 4-packs at retailers across the US. The pudding, which mimics the same creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor JELL-O is known for, is crafted to meet the growing demand for dairy-free alternatives. Van Leeuwen Launches Vegan Banana Bread Pudding at 390 Sprouts Stores in 23 States

New York’s Van Leeuwen, a producer of dairy and vegan ice creams, rolls out Vegan Banana Bread Pudding — featuring vegan banana ice cream, fudge swirls, and brown sugar bread bites — into 390 Sprouts locations across 23 states.   In 2020, the company secured Series B funding of $18.7 million, and in 2021 it launched its line of dairy and vegan ice cream bars. The new retail distribution marks the brand’s first exclusive collaboration with Sprouts.   Vegan ice cream reached a value of US$ 592.8 million in 2021 and is projected to reach a value of US$ 833.8 million by 2027, exhibiting a CAGR of 5.45% during 2022-2027. Germany’s Largest Dairy Cooperative Launches Oat-Based Vegan Desserts

Germany’s largest dairy cooperative, DMK, has announced it is launching plant-based products under its MILRAM brand. The new oat-based range includes vegan desserts, chocolate milk, and rice pudding.  The desserts come in vanilla and chocolate flavours, made with natural bourbon vanilla and Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa respectively. Like the rice pudding and chocolate oat milk, they are ready to eat and have a short, recognisable ingredients list. According to DMK’s research, 40.3% of MILRAM buyers already buy milk alternatives, higher than the German average. Sales of plant-based desserts are also soaring in the country. But while most consumers say they would prefer these types of desserts to be made with oats, the vast majority are currently soy-based, indicating that DMK has found a gap in …

The Collaborative, a plant-based desserts company, announces a re-brand to Bon Dévil, which will premiere at this year’s Expo West. The new look and name aim to disrupt the chilled dessert category with Bon Dévil’s healthier, “devilishly un-guilty” creations. The “devious rebrand” will feature a selection of coconut-based desserts, and debut across US retailers and grocery stores this spring. Bon Dévil’s indulgent line of products include plant-based chocolate ganache, vanilla rice pudding and double chocolate mousse cups. Oggs Partners With Bella Italia to Launch Vegan Carbonara and Chocolate Pudding

Oggs partners with Bella Italia for Veganuary, launching two new eggless plant-based dishes. British egg alternatives brand Oggs has announced a collaboration with Italian-inspired restaurant chain Bella Italia. From January 3rd, customers across the UK will be able to order plant-based carbonara followed by a vegan dessert. The new options have been launched to cater to the growing number of people participating in Veganuary. In an interview with vegconomist this week, the campaign’s Chief Executive Ria Rehberg said Veganuary had “played a significant role in making veganism more mainstream”. Scrambled Oggs The carbonara is made from Scrambled Oggs, which combines the company’s aquafaba (chickpea water) with tofu and seasonings.
