THIS Shifts from Meat Alternatives to Superfoods in New Product Line

Plant-based food company THIS™ is launching its new Super Superfood product line in UK supermarkets, marking a shift from its previous focus on meat alternatives to whole-food protein products. The range includes the Super Block and Marinated Pieces, which will be available from April 28 in Tesco and Ocado, followed by Waitrose and Sainsbury’s in the coming weeks. The products are priced at £3.95 each. The Super Block is a high-protein, plant-based block made from fava bean protein, seeds, and vegetables. Each 250g block contains 18g of protein per 100g, along with a source of iron, Omega-3, and fiber. Shiitake mushrooms contribute to its firm texture and natural umami flavor. British plant-based food company Moving Mountains has launched a new superfoods product range to meet evolving consumer preferences for nutrient-dense, plant-based options. The new offerings, designed to complement the brand’s traditional meat-alternative products, will be available from January through Brakes, a leading UK wholesale food supplier. The superfoods range includes five products: burgers, sausages, crispy dippers, crispy burgers, and falafel. Each product is crafted to be high in protein, fiber, and free from soy and gluten. Sacred Serve Expands Its Upcycled Vegan Gelato to US Whole Foods Nationwide

Chicago brand Sacred Serve is expanding its line of vegan superfood gelato to Whole Foods stores across the US, reports Food Navigator-USA.  Founded by Kailey Donewald, Sacred Serve packages its clean-label gelato in the world’s first plastic-free, 100% biodegradable ice cream cartons. To craft the ice cream, Sacred Serve uses a base of upcycled Thai green coconuts, which it says provides a lighter coconut flavor and thick texture that eliminates the need for gums or stabilizers. The coconut is then blended with superfoods, adaptogens and medicinal mushroom ingredients.
